Solve : Router Connections? |
|
Answer» I currently have my cable router connected to my desktop computer and then from computer to wireless router. I very seldom use the desktop. Is there any way I can connect the cable router directly to the wireless router so I don't need the desktop? If so, how would I do it?Are you saying that you have two routers? If the wireless capable router has an ETHERNET JACK on it then you should be ABLE to connect both machines to the one router. For the cable that goes from your cable modem to your computer, TRY disconnecting the end going to your computer and connect it to the WAN on the wireless router. This will bypass your computer. If you want your computer to still have internet, you'll need to run a LAN cable from an available port on the wireless router or modem, to the computer. |
