Answer» I have a NEC LCD1850E monitor driven with an ATI Redeon 9200 AGP card. Istalled latest drivers for both. Normally, both work fine. When I try to boot in safe mode, I GET a mesage from my monitor "1 d-sub out of range" and the display flickers up and down so that it is impossible to read the words on the screen. Also, the RESOLUTION of the screen SEEMS to stay at 1024x1280 and not drop down to VGA 0r SVGA as notmally HAPPENS when you boot in safe mode. Can anyone help me with this? TIA Jim BHello friend, how are you? Friend safe mode is generally used for trouble shooting. In safemode, system uses minimal set of resources. It does not load CD DRIVE, modem, printer, scanner and also VGA drivers ans also not the sound drivers. So inorder to get full resolution display you must boot system in normal mode. Take care of you and others and be happy. Dr Wahab I'm familiar with what you said. Sometimes need safe mode to troubleshoot system.
