Solve : same capacity, but of different price?

Answer»

In a window shopping, I saw some HDDs with same CAPACITY, brandname, RPM,
but they are of different prices.

1. Maxtor IEEE1394,7200rpm, 300GB: US$ 200
2. Maxtor Serial ATA,7200rpm, 300GB: US$ 70
3. Maxtor UDMA100, 7200, 300GB: US$ 97

Could someone tell me what makes the differences in the PRICE?

The second item seems very resonable. Should I take it?1. Requires firewire connection
2. Requires SATA connection and power connector
3. STANDARD IDE drive, should work in any machineIf your MBoard supports it i would take what's behind Door # 2...Quote

Which has faster data transmission rate: USB 2.0 or firewire ?USB 2 is much more common these days and is as fast.
