Solve : SATA and IDE hard drives?

Answer»

I recently purchased a new computer that has a Sata CONNECTED hard DRIVE in it. My motherboard has four sata ports and two ide ports. Does anyone know if I can add an IDE connected HDD as a slave drive or will that cause problems. ThanksThere is no master or slave for sata, There is no primary master for a SATA drive. Those types of settings (Primary/Secondary, Master/Slave), refer to IDE drives
The SATA is in its working, fine.... Go ahead and MAKE the ole IDE a slave you can.

Good Luck !Thanks. I'll give a shot.If the IDE has an OS on it make sure it's not included in the boot sequence in the BIOS otherwise the first time you boot it will ATTEMPT to boot the IDE INSTEAD of the SATA...
