Answer» Probably a simple question but can a SATA hard drive and an ATA drive function on the same system? If so, which one which one would be MASTER?Yes. Whichever way you configure it, but probably the BEST idea is the biggest, fastest drive should be the primary drive.The best way i have SEEN them co-exist is to use the SATA as primary as GX1Man suggests ; get it SET up and RUNNING properly with the OS and all your programs and only then re-introduce the ATA into the system... patio. 8-)
