Solve : SATA vs. SATA II? |
|
Answer» does SATA II require a different interface to normal SATA? I have machines with SATA drives in them and am replacing drives with sata II drives. I have asked 5 separate geek sites, put questions up on numerous forums, asked all my geek friends. How about CHECKING the label before buying, my non geekish friend?Raptor- How about not assuming I haven't checked the labels, my friend! I have been to numerous sites, including computer stores and if the labels had answered the question, I wouldn't have contacted the site customer service, and wouldn't have posted this question up. And who says I'm no geek PS- to be clear, I've contacted WD, Maxtor, Overclockers, ebuyer, microdirect, countless other computer expert forums, and researched on google. So far still no answer. Any help appreciated If you know FIRST HAND. cheers :-/ :-/ Quote Raptor- How about reading the previous posts before posting, my friend. Who says I didn't? Don't get SMART with me, boy. The point of sale should be able to give you a satisfying answer. Either E-mail technical support or speak to the salesman. If they can not tell you, you know it's time to shop at a new store. Your answer should be on the Serial ATA official webpage.here's an idea, why not just plug the freaking thing in and see if it works. if nothing happens, then at least you know.PS Be nice to raptorWhat operating system is this hard drive ..........going to hooked up to! |
