Solve : say master disc disable? |

Answer» I have an emachines W3052, with WINDOWS xp. I was trying to set up my new ipod but computer was not recognizing it. Apple instructions were to uninstall USB drives then re-start computer..which I did. Turned computer off that night and in am I am staring at a DOS page saying master DISC HDD SMART disabled...and at the bottom it says "boot with disc". I only have a recovery disc as I got this computer used. It won't let me type anything in at all. I don't know what to do as I use this computer for work and cannot afford a new one. If I insert recovery disc 1 it says I will lose all applications if I continue. I use my Microsoft office, publisher, excel etc....Please HelpHow old is this machine? |
