I try and start my PC and get this screen everytime. " award boot block v6.0

scanning bios IMAGE on hardrive. . .

but thats is all it does. I waited all day and STILL it was saying same thing. I cant get into bios or anything. I have hit the restart button 2000 times and finally it booted. but when i had to restart pc from a freeze up it has returned to that screen and message again " scanning bios image in hardrive". Help me plz!!!Bump!!!Try it with different hard disk.How did this happen?  Were you trying to flash a new BIOS?I did not try any bios flash. It just happened over night. Woke up and turned my pc on as usual but got the message stated above. I havent turned my pc off since I posted for help, (im scared to ). Its strange this hasnt happened toanyone else. Just my luck. my specs are : Systemax AMD Atlon 64 BIT 3000+,windows xp home, 512mb ddr333 pc2700 dimm,hdd 80gb 7.2k ata100, radeon 9200se-8x 128 ddr sv RCA,dvd rw. this pc is 12 months old. never had any problem before this. I have tried taking out the battery to reset the bios but no luck. have wiped my HD and reinstalled windows and no luck. If anyone has had this problem or might know what causes the bios scan to freeze or why its scanning the image in the first place please post it here. : ) )  tyvm for any help.
