Answer» My computer regularly "forgets" my mouse. If I am away for more than about 20-30 mins., I have to restart the computer because my mouse pointer will not move. Restarting always works, but it's rather frustrating to have to do it repeatedly. Does anyone know how to fix this?Has the mouse been traumatized by abuse? When did this start? Have you tried a different mouse? Is it a PS/2 variety (round plug) or something else? What operating system? What COLOR mouse? Does everything look OK in Control Panel?Rebekah here. As FAR as I can tell, everything looks ok.Do you want the computer in STANDBY mode? If that is not necessary, try turning off the settings in the Power Options applet in Control Panel. See if that FIXES the problem.
