Answer» Hello, I recently installed an XFX R9 270 graphics card (upgrade from a Sapphire 5770), and I've been experiencing some screen flickering while using Chrome.
Whenever I mouse-over certain things, like the bookmarks bar links, the screen flickers causing a line to appear near the bookmarks bar (sometimes slightly lower), and my bottom toolbar to move.
This happens more often than not, but it has given me moments where it works perfectly. I tried running some benchmarks to test and stress my GPU, which all ran fine (Tomb Raider, 3DMark 11). So far only Chrome gives me issues.
I've reinstalled Chrome, the drivers (using DDU), and the vbios. I have no clue what causes it, so I'm not sure where else to troubleshoot.

Decode Power Usage: 0I'd replace the video card under warranty as for the issues you have outside of Chrome look like an issue with the card itself.It might be worth just trying disabling hardware acceleration in Chrome, just to see what happens - it's under Settings, show advanced settings, use hardware acceleration when available.
I had a couple of issues with an older AMD card causing flickering in Firefox, disabling hardware acceleration resolved most but I ended up forcing the card to run at a constant clock speed as my issue was related to the clocks dropping too low.
