Solve : screen resolution problem or monitor problem?? |
|
Answer» I'm having problems with my computer monitor. Everything on the screen is too big to fit my monitor and I don't mean the ICONS. I physically have to scroll the screen on the monitor KEYS to see one end of the toolbar to the other. I've fiddled with my resolution but it doesn't help, it makes it worse or stays the same. Is my monitor too OLD? I got it almost 6 years ago. The computer is 1 year and half old, and I'm running Windows XP. Is there a WAY to fix this?No that makes it horribly worsewhat monitor does this apply to?update the drivers for it...It's an old crappy ASTvision 5L. I just went to their website and they don't have drivers for this monitor.what video CARD have you got? update you vid drivers.....windows xp maybe using vga mode....640x480>monitor driver may or may not work on winxp>http://www.monitor-drivers.com/drivers/125/125694.htmWindows XP does not go below 800x600x16. x8 in VGA mode. Quote It's an old crappy ASTvision 5L. I just went to their website and they don't have drivers for this monitor. That's a multisync monitor capable of 1280x1024 60Hz and 1024x768 75Hz. If you are unable to resize the image with the monitor controls located on the monitor, then the problem is with the monitor and cannot be repaired for a reasonable price. Cheaper to buy a new monitor than to repair one. |
