Solve : screwing with scammers? |

Answer» exactly! you send then 75 pounds worth of your garbage or something. Now it's their problem, AND they paid for the shipping! Oh, I see. You can't really do anything useful with it.if you think about it, it's a good way to force yourself off mailing lists. If you send them 75 pounds of garbage that they paid the shipping for it's unlikely they'll want to continue sending you junk mail. A similar site owner to the 419eaters site had a section about junk mail responses. apparently the company wasn't PLEASED and threatened to sue. the owner immediately demanded the return of the 60 cents he accidentally dropped into the package, as well as reimbursement for the large amount of styrofoam packing in which he had placed the response, "thanks for the offer, but I'll pass". I've been thinking about this one. Isn't the paid postage usually pre-addressed?Yeah, the point is that you SCREW them over by making them pay for all of the shipping. You could change the address, but I think the person you send it to will be charged instead. But I'm not exactly sure. These envelopes have specific permit numbers, which I believe REFERS to the company who sent the envelopes, so maybe they'll be charged no matter what address is used. However, I don't know if it would be legal. And like BC said, it's a good way to get off of their mailing lists...sometimes. Some companies will simply block you from being able to send them mail (you can do this to stop junk mail, by the way), but they'll still send their crap to you. To get around this, you can just send anonymously, which is what I usually do. |
