Answer» I have a Roland hard DISC multi-track music recorder. The only output--digital wise--is an SCSI connector.
This recorder was a made a few years AGO before the advent of USB everywhere.
I would like to CONNECT it to my computer or even an external hard drive, etc.
Does anyone know if there is an adaptor or hub that could switch the SCSI to USB?
Or is there some other way to connect? You can get a PCI/SCSI card if you have an empty PCI SLOT in that machine...this will require installing the drivers that ship with the card. This would be a more efficient SOLUTION than an adapter. When you say, "that machine" do you mean the Roland recorder? I don't think it has slots for anything not already there. If you mean the computer I would be trying to connect the Roland to, then, I think I can do that.Sorry for the misunderstanding...PCI slot in the computer.
