Solve : SCSI in Dell Server RAID setup not being detected?

Answer»

I read the other posting on this but wasnt seeing anything pertaining to my question.

I have a testing server a Dell Poweredge 2600 server, (tower type) already has two (2) SCSI hardrives (hot SWAPPABLE) installed and working, however, I recentley tried to install a third drive, when I went to the SCSI set up, none of the drives were recognized, period. The only thing that was recognized was the tape drive that does the back ups. I have had the pleasure of running into the setup of this server, having had someone else prior to me setup the majority of the INSTALLATION and additional software on the SMALLEST drive...this makes operation of the server, "FUN" at times. Once I get the new harddrive running, I have to ghost the image of the old one over to this new one...cant copy FILES, tried to do that with the other installed drive.....it breaks too many things at once, and takes about a day of uninstalling and re-installing.....dont like that fun stuff......
but any help or IDEAS or well, quite frankley, anything would be appreciated.
