I have here a Impact 1GB SD card and when I plug it into my COMPUTER it says you need to format before use.

But IT wont format it just sits there.


So im wondering if SD CARDS can die.

It worked fine before but seems not to...no matter what format software I useI have a flash DRIVE that died, it did the same thing. Now if I plug it in it asks to format, and if I say yes, it SIMPLY says "there is no disk in drive H:" heh.

You could try HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool - v2.1.8
Not sure if it's any different from the Windows format tool.
