Solve : SDRAM Memory Module - Unknown?

Answer»

My neighbor asked me to destroy a old HARD drive for her today. She was also going to destroy this 168 PIN SDRAM memory module, however I asked for it, explaining what its purpose was. Unfortunately I have no idea of the memory value etc. If anyone can TELL me exactly what it is by the numbers printed on all of the 8 memory chips, it would be GREATLY appreciated. Numbers and letters are exactly as follows.

9944 4-2
MT 48LC8M8A2
TG -8E B

Just to the right of these numbers/letters, in a vertical position is: C2l J . It could be either as typed C 2 L J or C 2 I J....... hard to tell the difference.

On the other side of the module, it states:
PCSDRAM
REV1.0That's a 64MB module of 100MHz (PC100) speed SDRAM.
Hope this helps, and welcome to the forums.Thank you Calum. I appreciate your SPEEDY reply. You're welcome, happy to help.
