Solve : Serious desktop issue, please help? |

Answer» So I recently got back from a tour OVERSEAS and pulled my desktop out of storage. I installed a new hard DRIVE and OS. OS is windows 7. All ran just fine until I attempted to install a wireless PCI adapter card. It is a Netgear RangeMaz WN311B. The card would not install and this was the only THING I had tried right after the OS was done. So I uninstalled the card and now the computer starts but nothing comes on screen and the USB ports don't even work. I am completely at a loss as to the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Any other info you need just ask. Thanks.Maybe during the process of adding and removing the PCI card, you bumped your graphics card. How do you mean the USB ports don't work? Do you mean your peripherals (keyboard, mouse) aren't lighting up when you boot the system? Because if you aren't getting a display on your monitor I'm not SURE how you'd notice. Try reseating the graphics card in the slot and make sure the extra 6-pin PCI-E power connector is properly attached. |
