Answer» Just finished installing Windows 2000 advanced server on a webfilter server ; machine type is Hp Compaq dx2300 machine ,the only driver not installed is PCI ......Every morning i have to switch on the server again , just TURNS off on its own .... please help still a student my job is on the line..Is it PLUGGED into a UPS or straight into the wall? What other devices are plugged in with it? Have you checked the power settings to make sure it's not set to shut down? What does the system log say? If the system log doesn't have anything about the shutdown then it's USUALLY an electrical event (power outage or something) which leads back to my first question.Sounds like power is being shut off somewhere (light switch / a timer somewhere in the circuit / janitor TURNING off something?)
