Solve : shader 3.0 important??

Answer»

Want to play swtor on my pc (played on my gaming rig but it gone atm)

My specs are ok

And my gpu meets the requirements except its shader 2.0 Instead of 3.0

Is that a big deal? Can I STILL run it minimum settingsd at 15 fps? Tbh that's all I need.Probably won't run...but you can try it.From the SWTOR website:
"Star Wars: The Old Republic requires a video card that has a minimum of 256MB of on-board RAM as well as support for Shader 3.0 or better."

If your card doesn't support shader 3.0, SWTOR will probably not WORK. You will need to upgrade to a card that does. I had the same problem when the first Mass Effect came out. It required 2.0, but the card I had only supported 1.0 and the game would refuse to launch. Given it's the same company (Bioware) I expect SWTOR would do the same.

There is also a 7-day free trial, however you can only get in on that through an invitation from a friend who has an active account. If you don't have any friends that play that COULD invite you, send me your email address in a private message (don't post it here) and I'd be more than happy to send you an invite.

Also make sure you MEET the rest of the system requirements:
