with taxes it's 160$What do you want to do with the computer, games, internet surfing, mine sweeper? For moderate games its fine. For lots of game playing get a better graphics and more ram, and maybe a new cpu. should only cost about $200 and you'll have a much better machine than a $200 PC. Those $200 PCs are much slower than yours. The one thing u have to upgrade: GRAPHICS CARD.

The card u linked to is HORRIBLE and is PCI-E when u NEED AGP.

Here is what u should buy (remmember: the graphics card is the only thing that matters):

X800GTO - 130$
X1950PRO - 200$

Choose from either of those, they are both Excellent cards. The X800GTO will have u over 15 times the performance u have now and u will be VERY happy with it - the more money u spend the happier u will be, and the MAX u can spend is 200$.I didn't mean to buy a 200 dollar PC, I MEANT I should save money and get one later. Also, as far as I know I don't think I have an AGP slot in my computer, how do I find out for sure? I use this computer for internet and games.Download Everest Home Edition and run it to get a report on your system.  You can post part of the report here if need help finding the info you need.  When you generate the report, try searching it for AGP, using the search function if it's available.  I haven't actually tried that, but I believe it would work.I have Everest... I cant figure out how to see if I have an AGP slot in my computer. Also, my computer didn't come with the graphics card I have now and when I was getting a new one I first bought an AGP card and I couldn't find where to stick it into so I LOOKED in the manual and realized that I have PCI slots so I WENT to the store and exchanged it for a PCI card. The report Everest gave me is attached. You only have PCI slots and probably the 128 meg FX5200 PCI card is the best fit for it in terms of power supply, etc.

If you want a gaming system or even to just upgrade your capability, it would be probably better to go for a new system.

If extreme gaming is not a requirement, that machine should be just fine as is. Quote

Again, it depends upon your computer use. Quote
