Answer» I tried to shut down a XP machine down remotly using this:
Code: [SELECT]shutdown -s -m \\DELTA -t 120 -c "THIS COMPUTER IS SHUTTING DOWN." And I recived a "Access is denied" error. Both machines are on the same network & workgroup. I can access files and other crap on the remote machine and I do KNOW the administrator password. How can I get around this? What other INFO do you guys need?I'm not aware that workgroup COMPUTERS can remotely run jobs. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure you need a server OS and computers that connect as members of a domain.
