My friend has the same dasl as me and he can download files at 256-512kb/s mine will only download at like 20-30kb/s what can i do to make it faster or what is wrong with it
Thanks 4 helpHave you scanned for viruses and Spyware? Also, when you say that you and your friend have the SAME connection, that would mean that you have the same ISP, Modem, etc. Is ALL of that the same? What about your computer specs.? Are they the same as your friend's?

[glb]Flame[/glb]I have scanned for spyware adware and viruses and yes we pretty much have the same computer only i have more memory than him. Will i need to buy a faster modem? Or can i do it another way?
Are your modems thew exact same? Also, I WANT you to try this, and SEE if it HELPS... Shut down your computer, an dunplug the power to the modem. Leave the modem powerless for about 30 seconds... Once TIME has passed, reconnect the power to the modem, and let it just sit for a minute to configure itself. Now, turn back on the computer, and see if you notice any changes in your connection...
