Answer» Im having trouble working my mic. I recently bought a new computer and i plugged in my mic and it's TELLING me Sndvol32.exe file is missing. I have not a clue what to do.. PLEASE HELPsndvol32.exe is a program which controls the volume settings for your computer. Microsoft didn't provide any downloads for it.
try this
1) open control panel --> SOUNDS and audio devices --> volume --> Advanced
check whether the controller is opened or not.... if it opened then your problem might be solved.
or
2) open c:\windows\system32\dllcache (usually this directory can't be viewed normally. you have to uncheck the option "hide protected operating system files(recommended)" from tools --> view of any explorer window)
but simply type the above address in the address bar of explorer window
check for sndvol32.exe. copy it and paste it in c:\windows\system32
reboot your system.
3) if above two doesn't solve your problem then download it from the following address
http://rapidshare.com/files/127523343/sndvol32.exe (LINK existed)
Thanks for the HELP, but that doesn't work.. Better to restore your system to an early time.....What OS are you USING?
