Im having trouble working my mic. I recently bought a new computer and i plugged in my mic and it's TELLING me Sndvol32.exe file is missing. I have not a clue what to do.. PLEASE HELPsndvol32.exe is a program which controls the volume settings for your computer. Microsoft didn't provide any downloads for it.

try this

1) open control panel --> SOUNDS and audio devices --> volume --> Advanced

check whether the controller is opened or not.... if it opened then your problem might be solved.

or


2) open c:\windows\system32\dllcache (usually this directory can't be viewed normally. you have to uncheck the option "hide protected operating system files(recommended)" from tools --> view of any explorer window)

but simply type the above address in the address bar of explorer window

check for sndvol32.exe. copy it and paste it in c:\windows\system32

reboot your system.


3) if above two doesn't solve your problem then download it from the following address

Thanks for the HELP, but that doesn't work.. Better to restore your system to an early time.....What OS are you USING?
