Solve : Some really fantastic photos?

Answer»

Yeah, it's a pricey camera.

Most of those pictures were taken with that camera, except the 2 ATV pictures. The sand at that place, Little Sahara State Park, is very fine and gets into EVERYTHING. Those two pictures, among other that aren't on there, were taken from an old Olympus 35mm. Sealed in a Ziploc. Still got sand in it.4 by 5 ...which i guess in retrospect would be medium format.Quote from: patio on July 01, 2009, 10:27:54 PM

Correct, that is medium format. I like the Hasselblad 500 and 550, but this is the one I own, I just got it actually, I'm still learning my way around it. It's my choice as a field camera.

Large format is pretty much anything with a bellows in between the lens and the film PLANE. OMG thats an expensive camera! Why do you need it? I really need to learn more about cameras. I got a picture of about every firework todayI don't need it, all that I really need is a Hasselblad 500 digital, but I like the work that it does. That makes it a luxury, but one that I make use of. Most amateur photographers can do beautiful work with a camera that COSTS less than $1000.00.Very cool. Reminds me of another page I recently stumbled across of some extremely cool HDR photos. Also worth checking out.

http://abduzeedo.com/incredible-new-portfolio-dave-hillSome of those look fake! Were those all really taken with a camera? What the heck is HDR? High Definition Resolution? No.

I go to the guy's website, and it doesn't even say on the page.

So, I search it, since I'm supposed to know.

It's High Dynamic Range imaging. More INFO HERE.

Pretty impressive...until it starts lookin' too fake.Quote from: computeruler on July 23, 2009, 10:03:22 AM

Yep all of them were, there is a behind the scene video showing the making of some of the SHOTS. But a lot of the backgrounds are faked. For some reason really just like HDR shots and was impressed with a lot of these shots. How do they get it like that?very cool i like the one on 4th page wuth spider and slug Quote from: computeruler on July 23, 2009, 10:19:57 AM

Read the link that Aegis posted just above yours.Fantastic Pictures - I wish I had a decent camera.

Cameron GrayIt's not the camera that needs to be decent, it's the photographer.

A *CENSORED* mechanic can have great tools, would you let him work on your car?

Ansel Adams did not have a $1000.00 camera.
