Solve : some sound someplaces...no sound others... Help!? |

Answer» this is really starting to piss me off.... I cant hear any sound in videos on the net on sites such as you tube and ebuams world.... i cant hear some of the sounds on my aim.... i cant hear some the music on runescape but i can hear the sound effects.... and i can hear the sound on windows media player. I have looked through my control panel and check things out but i cannot figure this out please help!!!!!! :-? :-? :-? :-? :-? :-? :-? :-? :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/See below and post a lot of details including that and what happened PRIOR to this.umm.... i GOT this laptop, IBM thinkpad, in MAY this year and it was this way but i ignored it, i am running windows xp professional, i have done nothing to change it... it has been that way since i have got it.... thats about as much as i can say.... my first post i sall i can say about the symtoms of the problem. I have gone into the control panel and into the sounds... CHANGED the speakers the laptop speakers... turned up the video volume in the volume control bar.... other than that i havnt done much else. thats about as much as i know what to say... if you have an idea or a question to help lead me on then ill be willing to help.2 things you can try here...1) re-install your sound card drivers...they will be on the IBM Recovery disk... thats about as much as i know what to say... if you have an idea or a question to help lead me on then ill be willing to help. Sigh How about the model number? There is a 7 digit code on the bottom of the machine that is also helpful. What operating system? What service pack? Are all updates applied? Was this a new machine or bought USED? Do you have a real Windows CD or what did you get with it? What sound chip is identified in Device Manager? These are the important details. |
