I have a sony Cybershot-U 30 and my OS is windows 2000 Pro SP4.and when i plug in the camera windows 2000 says New Hardware Found.then it prompts me for a driver. I went to the sony website and it says that windows 2000 and windows Xp dont need a driver.they only have a driver for windows 98SE. I tried the camera on my sisters windows Xp computer and a friends Xp Computer And it Worked FINE. It will show up as a Mass Storage DEVICE. so ANYWAY i dont understand why windows 2000 is asking for a driver. It should see it as a mass storage device.But for some reason windows 2000 isn't identifying it Properely. I hope someone can help me.

128 Ram Have you tried different USB ports? Is your SYSTEM a laptop/notebook? You could have a dodgy USB port at FAULT here.

Have you tried Un-installing the camera in device manager and reinserting the camera?Yes,i pulg it back in and it's the same thing. it asks for a driver.Can anyone please help me
