Answer» I currently have a soundmax integrated audio sound card i bought a sound blaster audigy SOUNDCARD to replace. it. it is a pci card. i am a home RECORDER or music, I installed the new soundcard and disabled the old on,and when i TRIED to record vocals to the music, it wouldnt time up CORRECTLY. a friend told me to get rid of all the SOFTWARE that came with the new soundcard and just keep the drivers. well i did that and i am still having the same problem. I have a PENTIUM 4 3.00 ghz 2.99 ghz, 1 gb of ram and i am running windows xp. any ideas? also, the integrated audio card will only let me disable it and not uninstall it, everytime i try to uninstall and then restart it finds it again and i am back in the same place. do i need to physically take out the cord that is connecting my sound card to the mother board? if so i have no idea which cord it is or even if there is one. since it is integrated i cant even see the sound card. thanks De Enter your BIOS setup to disable the onboard sound card.
