Solve : sound cards "line out" problems?

Answer»

Hi.....does anyone know of a sound card that has separate outlets for left and RIGHT speakers RATHER the usual single plug outlet??I'm using the on-board soundcard on my ASUS A8N-SLI Premium motherboard and have tried a number of plugs but the right channel drops out/crackles often, this can usually be fixed [temporarily] by re- inserting the plug a few times. ASUS blames the leads / plugs I'm using but I've tried different ones with the same results. Am considering getting a separate sound card but the ones I've seen so far have just the single outlet for left&right speakers.

Any help appreciated!

TIA.......MirageSo ASUS doesn't WANT to cough up for a new board.

I've used some on board sound CARDS, and a number of PCI slot cards, and never had a problem with the PCI cards I've installed. It looks more like on-board sound port problem, then lead problem. Separate sound card should fix it.http://www.soundblaster.com/products/

These are good cards.
By the way, make SURE you go into CMOS and disable your onboard sound before you install a new sound card.
