my sound ISNT working on my internet. it works on itunes and other non-internet related programs but when i try to LISTEN to music on any internet site it doesnt work. i thought at first that it was on mute but when i went to the control panel then to the sound, speech and audio device thing i couldnt adjust the volume at all and the mute box is unchecked. it all gray so i can't click on anything in the area and at the top it says no audio device.
If anyone can knows what i can do that would help a lot.

What OS are you using?it just started happening out of nowhere. i have microsoft on a dell computer and for internet i use internet explorer and netscape but the sound doesnt work on either. i have symantec antivirus. and im not sure about the sound card.Dell makes a lot of computers. I'll bet yours has a model number. Is this an add on sound card or onboard? Does the speaker plug into the motherboard or one of the expansion slots? Microsoft makes severl operating systems. Is this XP? Home or Pro?

Plus all of the previously asked questions.And you MIGHT as well give CCleaner (without Yahoo! toolbar) a whirl and see if it helps anything.
