I have a dell e1505 and all of a sudden, the sound stopped working. I bought new SPEAKERS, still didnt work, reinstalled drivers, and finally a fresh install, and still NO SOUND! And forgive a silly question, but if the speakers are powered are they plugged in to a working AC line?yes the internal speakers are connected correctly, I have checked it 3 times already, and the EXTERNAL speakers are plugged in to the laptop and into ac outlet. Even the headphones, which I use a lot, stopped GETTING sound, but works when I plug into my friends laptop.Well, then it sounds like there's a problem with the sound card.
