Solve : Sound Volume/Microphone SiS 7012 EZ - Buddie?

Answer» OK i just got the Ez - Buddie second hand everything is fine apart from the SOUND/mic

When i try to move the volume control volume up and town and moves but the sound does not change higher or lower. EVEN if i put the mute on it still dings when i click on the volume up or down :-/

ALSO the microphone isnt working when i click on test hardware under voice in sounds and devices so i carnt use it for skype or anything as they carnt HEAR me.

Audio drivers: SiS 7012
OS: Windows XP Pro Service pack 2

Please help if you can.
