Answer» Lately (something I've never heard before), I've noticed while watching a movie, LISTENING to music, gaming, etc, the sound will cut to a static-sounding noise. I can barely hear it in the background, and eventually it just goes back to normal. How do I know if this is my card or my speakers? It's sometimes too random to test it on another computer and know for sure. To determine if it is the speakers hook them up to another MACHINE... How old is this sound card ?It's hard to say exactly how old....I'd guess about 2 years, maybe a LITTLE more. It's a soundblaster audigy 2 ZS...so whenever that came out. It's tough to test it on another computer because it doesn't HAPPEN often enough......
