Hi all

Tried using my speakers this afternoon and volume really low, was FINE last night. Speaker model Emachines SP-20A.

Have gone throe all settings for speakers and volume within control panel and bottom bar and all settings fine.

Only thing i have done today is computer advised update waiting to be installed, showing as XP service pack 3, installed this morning and restarted since then volume really quiet even on full. Can anybody help please as unable to do ANYTHING with AUDIO.

AngelSP3 shouldnt have touched your audio driver. But... you could always reinstall the audio driver which might be a realtek chipset as is common in many motherboards unless you have a high end machine. GUESSING your computer is ALSO an eMachines to match those speakers, and most eMachines I have dealt with use realtek audio chipset. I would go to eMachines website if that is your make of computer and download the OEM audio driver for your model and reinstall this audio driver in place of a potentially overwritten by Microsoft Generic driver and see if that helps.
