Answer» Hi. Ive got a bit of a problem. When I insert a music CD in the cd-rom the speed in which it is play is faster than normal, even when I save the tracks the speed is not normal. When I listen real audio the speed is faster than normal as well; that is why it stops every 5 second to 'fill' the buffer, play sound very FAST and STOP again to fill the buffer. I dont really know if it is because of the cd-rom or software. I used Real Player and Windows Media Player and it doesn't make any difference. Thank you for your help. Juanjuanitos.....Is this something which has just started ? Have you added anything to your system ...ie hardware or software updates ? I would probably start by uninstalling the sound card and its drivers ......then reboot and be sure that the sound card has been removed. Then shut down and plug the sound card back in again.....in a differant slot if possible and then restart the pc......let it find the new hardware and then install the drivers if asked to do so . If this didnt change anything ...then I would be looking at the cd-rom itself.
let us know how you make out .
dl65 Get rid of RealOne Player and delete its directories. Windows Media Player, Winamp, and MediaMatch Jukebox don't cause as many problems as RealMedia products.
Test the CDROM with a headset in the front jack, if it plays normally you have a codec problem that may be solvable by uninstalling all your media players and yanking the sound card, then re-installing the sound card and all media players except RealMedia. If the front jack audio is bad, get a new CDRW drive from a Web DISCOUNTER...i am with you on this one MalikTous real player another spyware fanatic program?sometimes comes bundled with tiscali ...isp...oops ...try USING windows media player... but im giong to hae to AGREE with merlin and dl65
