Solve : start up beeps?

Answer» My Compaq Presario desktop was returned to me from a friend and when I tried hooking everything up I heard beeps. One short followed by one LONG. Also, the monitor says no signal so I can't see what may be going on during the START up. I tried re-sitting my MEMORY sticks, blew out the dust, checked my CONNECTIONS. All to no avail.You can go to the website of your BIOS provider and check out the beep codes, but I'm guessing there's a problem with the video card.
