Hi, i am new to FORUM. Ive got a Toshiba laptop Tecra M10-10 H, the battery recently went flat and would not recharge, it was a 6 cell type, so i got a 12 cell battery. I fitted it in and connected the ac POWER, and it wouldnt startup. So i took the battery out and it started up straight AWAY, then i reinserted the battery and the laptop recognized the battery and started charging up. But when it gets to 4% it stops charging, it says plugged in not charging. The old one was ok, ive got 2mg MEMORY so that seems to be ok. So if i want to startup i have to take the battery out, any help would be appreciated. Did you try leaving it on carge overnite with the laptop not being used ? ?Yes ive tried that, the Orange battery light comes on for a few minutes then goes off again.Are you SURE that the battery you bought will work properly with your laptop? How do you know a 12-cell will work?

Alan <><Not really sure, but it did say when i bought it that it was compatible with my laptop, if anyone wants to do a check for me, the batterys number is Pa 3357u-3brl and my laptop is Toshiba M10-10H Tecra series, many thanks.Your laptop is not LISTED on the compatability list...
