Answer» My computer has recently started making a medium-pitched BEEPING sound at irregular intervals. I've tried restarting and leaving it off for a while. My most recent hardware addition was a CD/DVD burning drive a little over a month ago. However, the beeping sounds has just started in the last couple of days. Any advice?check your motherboard manual. Somtimes the beeps mean theres a problem. Check and make sure you fans are all spinning FREELY. when does it beep? from start up or after windows (i assme your running windows) loads?Make CERTAIN no fans are obstructed. What is the CPU and case temperature measured at the times of the beeping sound?
