Solve : strange keyboard failure?

During windows xp setup after the drivers have been LOADED keyboard stops responding on a PENTIUM 3.
Try a PS2 keyboard...not USB.Did that work???

If not you may NEED to UPDATE your keyboard Driver if it is connected by  USB
