Solve : Style Sheet Link Trouble? |
|
Answer» I'm having trouble with my style sheet on my website, iceglob.110mb.com. At first view the main page (linked to a style sheet) works fine, but when I click on "LINKS" (which is also also linked to the style sheet), all the formatting on the sytle sheet disappears ! I stays gone even when I go back to the main page. Only when I click Refresh does the formatting appear again. I cannot figure this out. Does anyone know what the problem is? (I'm running XP with IE7).I'd love to help, but my ISP is currently being blocked by 110mb... Maybe you should clear your temporary internet files like CBMatt recommended. I'm just worried that it might happen on other people's computers too, and I don't want my site to look ugly. Actually, I asked a friend to go to my website and she said it did the same thing on her comp. But...did clearing the temporary files fix it on your end? You've had two users here say the pages display fine. I have Comcast and 110mb seems to be blocking us from seeing any of their pages. So...did you clear your cache and then look at the pages again?Quote from: CompGuy17 on June 05, 2007, 07:41:56 PM Quote from: The Saviour on June 05, 2007, 07:29:52 PMMaybe you should clear your temporary internet files like CBMatt recommended. Did your friend view your site before you made these changes? Sometimes, people's browsers just don't want to load a site properly because of their TIF. Happens to me all the time with PhotoBucket. Why do you have two index.html files? How about calling one index.html and the other links.html? And just ty clearing your temp. files, if it helps than that's the issue.Quote from: Calum on June 06, 2007, 02:37:48 AM Why do you have two index.html files?I have two index.html files because one is under the /links/ directory. There are going to be multiple pages under that directory, so I do not want just a links.html page. For some reason the browser is not catching the link to the style sheet. Then try PUTTING your stylesheet in the links directory as well and then change the path on your links page relative to the new location of the additional stylesheet.Quote from: The Saviour on June 06, 2007, 01:23:59 PM Then try putting your stylesheet in the links directory as well and then change the path on your links page relative to the new location of the additional stylesheet.Maybe I should've mentioned that I've already tryed that, and it didn't work.Quote I have two index.html files because one is under the /links/ directory. Subsequent link pages you'll name accordingly.Quote from: The Saviour on June 06, 2007, 03:05:33 PM Then rename the main links page to links_main.html instead of index.html.
