Answer» I am running xp pro, 2.13 dual core, 8500 gt video, 3.25 ram, intel mb 975x It's no error, it's an annoying copyright protection feature on that software 'vhs to dvd video converter' you are using. After an hour it stops to prevent people copying movies, etc. Without major hacking and probably breaking the law you will probably have to just find different software that doesn't do it. Source ? ?Source = Google ... I can't find the original source I got it from again (honestly I can't be bothered just to prove myself to you morons) but here's some reviews about it, good hardware but crappy problemed software with a copyright protection feature: http://www.buzzillions.com/reviews/gigaware-vhs-dvd-converter-reviewsSorry we sem to be morons to you... Get over it. BTW there's nothing in that link to validate what you stated... In fact, that's why authors decided they had to crippled the shareware versions with more then a nag screen. And then people basically complain that they can't have free cake. Quote from: patio on February 28, 2010, 04:56:54 PM Source ? ? I was equally skeptical and supposed it may have been indicating that the DVD was copy protected. However, since it copies an entire hour first, it might be an artificial limitation of the "trial" version of the software being used. This is of course pure supposition. (yes, the fact that "supposition" is only three letters away from being "suppository" disturbs me as well.) Quote BTW there's nothing in that link to validate what you stated...*cough* Just a few of the quotes given from that site... Quote Several minutes into recording a home video tape ONTO my pc, an error message popped up saying that copying of copyrighted material is prohibited, and the recording stopped. Clearly, my home video has no copyright! Quote "I kept getting messages that I'm trying to record copy-written material but these are home movies taken from a camcorder. Got this message 15 times per vhs tape. That in of itself is a deal breaker. " Quote The converter does the job of converting your tapes to your hard drive, but the software that comes with the converter (Arcsoft Showbiz) is bad. Every so many minutes, an error message comes up saying that recording copyrighted material is prohibited, and the recording stops Quote I have over 450000 mb of free disk space but can only record on average 10 mb of video. this is a home video so there is NO anti piracy involved..in fact the video is from the mid 80's . Quote Plug in the hardware and IMMEDIATELY go find another software to use. The software is totally non-functional. I try help users and most of the mods on this forum or Allan end up in a debate just trying to prove me wrong... every ... single... time...Any surveilance software to use on my computer to record without any shut down, I am trying to CATCH a thief, I need to have continuous recording can anyone suggest which software or program |
