i giggled at that oneI dont know if this will help but i kinda had the same problem . I changed out my cdrom/dvd , and after installing new one I couldnt find drive on computer . I took to "Geek Squad" (no other choice) and FIRST question was "do you use an I-pod" ? And ofcourse answer was yes , they used their magical device and put the drive BACK in .
