Solve : System Panel Connector?

Answer»

Hello,

I have a problem with my Packard Bell Multimedia 350, I have bought a new motherboard the S1868 Pentium II\PCI-ISA from Tyan Computer; I have all the nessary pats (processor, memory,ETC..) but my System Panel Connector isn't the same. So my question is how do I connect the cable to the system panel connector ?

Thanks

Al968That shouldn't be a problem. The options for reset, power on, HDD light and Power light should still be there. If the connectors do not match, cut them open at the plastic connector so that you get individual connectors that you can put in any way necessary.I have the same problem. Can someone tell me what the colours of each cable signify?Quote

Depends on the type of case from what I've seen. The mainboard manual will cover the details on how to connect the cables.Quote

What do you NEED to know?Colors for one...I would say this is like pulling TEETH, but I got in TROUBLE for that last time. Welcome to the Dentist's Office...Sorry guys, didn't mean to leave you in limbo, had to leave it for a while and do other things. I've managed to get the machine running which is the most important thing, just trying to figure out the LED connections now which I'm not that worried about. I have a thick (relative to the others) black cable and a brown one which together appear to be the power connections. the other colours are orange, white, red and a thinner black cable which is opposite the red one (all the others are in line.Did you recieve a manual with that new MBoard or have you checked the manuf.'s site ? ?
