taller than the Taipei 101, the world's tallest building that is completed.

Where are you getting this from? Either I know what I'm talking about, or I seem to have been under a rock for the last year.

The last I heard, The Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur were the tallest, passing out the Sears Towers in Chicago. You have been under a rock for far too long....

Petronas towers are like 5th or 6th tallest buildings.Holy crap.

I need to get out more. Quote from: kpac on August 23, 2008, 04:05:59 AM
Holy crap.

I need to get out more.

Either that, or just do some research.

Another two websites to re-confirm that you are still up to date:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_tallest_buildings_and_structures_in_the_world
http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0001338.html

And yes, I was born in Taiwan, so I should know the world's tallest building that is NOT still under construction!

They should make a water slide from the TOP of it.I'll bet the base jumpers will be forming a line to try this one!!!    Quote from: ChrisXPPro on August 23, 2008, 08:28:56 PM

i was thinking the same thing, but i forgot what they were called (the base jumpers).

...it makes me wonder, how long does it take to get from the BOTTOM floor to the top floor via elevator?According to Wikipedia:
Fastest ascending elevator speed: 16.83 m/s (55.22 ft/s) (60.6 km/h, 37.7 mi/h).

I've actually been to the Taipei 101, it's awesome! When you go up, your ears pop because it goes up so high and so fast.

37 seconds to go up to the 101st floor. (hence the name)

Also, if you look at the picture I attached, the second building from the right is the IFC Building right here in Hong Kong.
(it was also used in the new batman movie)Taipei 101 is the Rodeo DRIVE of Taiwan
