Answer» Hey GUYS,
I have a computer which is only 2 years old. At startup there are three long beeps. If I remember correctly, that corresponds to a keyboard error (3270 ? I might be wrong. Or is three long beeps memory?).
Any ideas on how to fix it? Hopefully without having to buy anything NEW
Thanks in advance! Could you post some specs? Could guess at keyboard, graphics card, bad memory stick, etc... but it's easier if you have the make, model, bios version. Three long beeps is indeed the keyboard error, it MAY be time to replace the keyboard. I assume you unplugged the keyboard and plugged it back in to make sure?If you go to the website of your bios manufacturer the beep codes should be listed.Or From Our Vast Archives...Who was that MASKED MAN? Yes, I checked the "vast archives" and it is a keyboard error. My first response was to plug, then unplug the keyboard, and obviously my computer decided not to cooperate. Hmmm.
Do I have to replace the 3270 keyboard card? I hope not...
