Solve : top 1/3 of display shows, other 2/3 is black?

1.	Solve : top 1/3 of display shows, other 2/3 is black?
Answer» My Qosmio LAPTOP started having poor quality (faded, intermittent flickering) on the bottom 2/3rds of the display. Now it is black. The top 1/3 is working fine. The laptop has a nVidia GeForce 6600 Go graphics card. Graphics card PROBLEM or display problem? How to proceed?Same in Safe Mode?I'm technically challenged...safe mode? And if it reguires me to see bottom 2/3rds of my display, then SEEMINGLY I'm out of luck.When your computer starts, keep tapping F8 key, until you see this: Yes, I got the screen you showed, and I selcted safe mode. It scrolled thru some text and then went to a Windows screen, but both were top 1/3 only.In that case, you need to CONNECT your laptop to working monitor, and see, if same THING will happen.
