Solve : Toshiba Satellite a-100 Sceen Problems? |

Answer» Hi, I'm using a Toshiba Satellite a-100 laptop, on Windows XP, and have this odd problem that came out of the blue....The laptop screen has these weird black blotches on the RIGHT side, almost as if someone threw a bottle of ink at the screen, and some colored lines as well, I cant see anything past them, can only see a small part of the screen, I have a feeling I need to buy a whole new screen, but thought I would as about it here first..... Looks like something heavy was placed on the laptop while it was closed...Well, I can tell you for sure either didnt happen, it was just like that when I checked it in the morning..... So I assume you think I need a new screen?Absolutely. The screen is hosed. It's not anything else, as an external monitor works fine.Basic rule of thumb with anamolies on-screen, if they show up in a PrintScreen capture, it's either a program or the video card; if not, then it's the screen. The blotches and so forth are likely the LCD liquid; somehow it is no longer contained in the Squares (or however it is used). of COURSE the liquid, since it conducts electricity causes other problems (the lines). Ok, so its screwed then, thanx guys.... Have been coming here for years, and have never been steered wrong, before I run out and FIX something I like to check here first, thanx as always for the great SITE.... Thanx for the Thanx ! ! |
