Answer» I have a 3 year old Toshiba laptop and have had an issue with the touch pad. Periodically it becomes UNPREDICTABLE and unreliable. Trying to move the MOUSE does not work and at other times, it works perfectly well. I don't know if touch pads "wear out", if their are settings for the touchpad, or what. Does ANYONE have any thoughts or ideas to try and address this ?. Thank you in advance.Try DLoading a fresh copy of the touchpad drivers from Toshiba's SITE and re-installing them....they may have been corrupted. Re-boot afterwards.One solution is to get a mouse and use it instead of the touchpad.
