Answer» I WISH to transfer jpg FILES to a CD-R disc in my D drive so that I can show the pictures on a friend's Panasonic DVD player as a slide show. After inserting a new CD-R into the drive and attempting to copy/paste the files results in Windows informing me that the DEVICE is not accessible. Do I have to do ANYTHING with this disc? Format it or something? Why are you copying and pasting for? You have to burn these pictures onto a cd-r Why not click on the pictures you want then send to e drive that is if you have an e drive or burner. Do you understand! A cd-r is not like a floppy disk.Well Nancy_O, actually you can burn jpeg files just by copying and pasting, then clicking "Write these files to CD", only because the cd burner(I use a DVD +-R/RW multi recorder) acts as if a drive with virtual memory.
As to rockstone's QUESTION, Can you see the drive under explorer? Are you sure that you are using a cd burner(or anything capable of burning cds).I know you can but why? By doing it my way you still get the message "Write these files to CD", but why complicate things! Anyway go for it fffreak! Good luck rockstone. Why not resize your sig so that annoying scrollbar doesn't appear ? ?Thank you both. I think I have the message. I need to get a burner. RockstoneThat would help. You don't actually have a DVD or CD-rewriter drive then?No to the deputy. Enquiry now terminates with thanks. Rockstone
