Answer» I have a Dell Dimension 4300S went to go turn it on TODAY and I got nothing on the screen and on the rear of the CPU there are 4 lights on ABCD. These lights are just above where the mouse and keyboard plug in. All four where lit. When I started the computer there were two long beeps, two shorter beeps and then two long beeps again. When I opened the case up there is a yellow light lit on the motherboard and it is labeled as aux. power. Not far AWAY from that light is a small green diode type light that is ALSO lit. All of the fans are all working and the DVD drive opens and closes. Just wondering if anyone might know what the problem is or what I might want to check next? Are these models know for doing this or are they reliable? I bought it a year ago, USED, from a friend. Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to give me!! Try replacing ram and its possible it could be the cmos batteryQuote All four where lit. All four were lit? What color are they?
HERE is a page from the Dell website which shows the interpretations of the LED's.
