Solve : unable to get data off old hard drive? |

Answer» Hi there, I have a WD600ve from outta my old DELL laptop with XP. I BOUGHT an ADAPTER to usb to retrieve data. It now says i am not an authorized user when i plug it into my NEW Toshiba with Vista. I go thru the steps to get permission. i reopen and the files sometimes open. I cannot open the documents or pictures or music. Is there a way to unlock the whole drive so i can access all of the files off the drive? i am not looking for the programs, only the documents, pictures and of COURSE, the music.
